Team members and roles

Owners, team members and clients: who sees which projects and who can change what. No per-seat fees, so add your whole team.

Everyone in a workspace is an owner, a team member or a client. There are no per-seat fees, so add everyone who works on your projects.

Under your name at the top of the dashboard, your role shows as Owner, Team or Client.

Owners#

Owners can do everything a team member can, plus run the workspace: invite anyone from the Team page, change roles, suspend or remove people, and approve or decline requests from people who ask for access to a project. Only owners can choose or change the plan, add storage, connect or disconnect cloud drives, connect tools for the whole workspace, hide the "Built with love by Drobber" credit and redeem AppSumo codes. A workspace can have several owners.

Team members#

Team members see every project and do the day-to-day work: create projects, review and manage feedback, and use each project's Settings, including the review link, password, deadlines, revision rounds and inviting clients under Client accounts. They can see Billing, Storage and Integrations, but only owners can change the plan or buy storage. They don't see the Team page.

Clients#

Clients see only the projects you give them. They can comment, reply and approve, but they have no Settings tab, can't create projects and never see billing. People who only give their name to comment are guests, not clients, and have no account. See Guest comments.

Invite someone#

  1. Open Team in the top bar (owners only).
  2. Under Invite someone, enter their name and email.
  3. Choose their access: Team member (every project), Owner (every project, plus the team) or Client (chosen projects only). For a client, tick the projects they can see.
  4. Press Send invite. They get an email to create their account; the link lasts a week.

Until they accept, they show as Invited, with a Resend invite button. Team members can invite clients to a project from its Settings, under Client accounts. For other ways to bring clients in, see Invite your clients.

Change a role#

On the Team page, press Make owner or Make member beside someone on your team. Clients are a separate kind of account and aren't promoted here. To change which projects a client sees, open Change which projects a client can see, tick their projects and press Save.

Suspend or remove someone#

Press Suspend to lock someone out until you press Restore; they are signed out the next time they load a page. Press Remove to take them out of the workspace. If a client also works with another agency on Drobber, suspending or removing them only takes away your projects, and their account stays for the other agency.

A workspace always keeps at least one owner: the last owner can't be made a member, suspended or removed, and you can't suspend or remove yourself.
