Connect Make
Build Make scenarios that watch Drobber for new comments, replies and status changes, and create comments, using a drk_ key.
Make does the same job as Zapier with visual scenarios: watch Drobber for new comments, replies and status changes, and create comments, reply and change statuses from other apps. It comes with every paid plan and the free trial, but not AppSumo Tier 1.
You connect with a key that starts with drk_. It is your own key: everything a scenario does happens as you, on the projects you can see.
Connect Make#
- Open the menu under your name and choose Integrations.
- Under Zapier & Make, create a key (name it "Make", say) and press Copy straight away: it starts with
drk_and is shown only once. - If the card shows Add Drobber to your Make account, press it and install the app.
- In Make, create a scenario and add a Drobber module, such as Watch New Comments.
- Press Create a connection and paste your key into Drobber key.
- Pick a project and press Run once, then leave a comment on your site: it arrives in Make within a second or two. Add what should happen next and switch the scenario on.
Any team member can make a key, not only the owner. If there is no Zapier & Make card on your Integrations page, it isn’t available on your account yet. On AppSumo Tier 1 it shows blurred under a box saying it comes with Tier 2.
Modules#
| Module | What it does |
|---|---|
| Watch New Comments | Triggers the moment someone leaves a comment on a website or file. |
| Watch New Replies | Triggers when someone replies to a comment. |
| Watch Status Changes | Triggers when a comment moves to In Progress, Feedback or Resolved. |
| Watch Resolved Comments | Triggers when a comment is resolved. |
| Create a Comment | Adds a comment to a project, from a form entry, an email, a ticket or anything else. |
| Reply to a Comment | Adds a reply to a comment, as you. |
| Change a Comment Status | Moves a comment to In Progress, Feedback or Resolved. |
| Get a Comment | Gets a comment by its ID. |
| Search Comments | Lists comments, newest first, or finds one by its number. |
The Watch modules can be left on every project, or limited to one. Search Comments takes a Project, a Comment number (which needs a project), a Status and a Limit (10 unless you change it).
Create a Comment takes the Project, the Comment, a Page (a full address or a path such as /pricing; empty means the home page) and a Status, which starts as In Progress. The comment shows Make as its browser, goes on the newest file in a PDF, image or video project, and is cut at 5,000 characters.
Every comment arrives with its text, who left it, its number and status, the project and page, the browser, operating system, device and window size, its number of replies, a link to open it in Drobber, and a link to its screenshot when one was added. Status changes also say the previous status and who changed it.
Anything else#
The Drobber app has no Make an API Call module. For a call it doesn’t cover, use Make’s own HTTP module with your key in the header Authorization: Bearer drk_.... Every call is listed in the API reference.
Your key#
The key acts as you, and only on projects you can see. It works only for Zapier and Make, not for Claude. Your keys are listed on the Zapier & Make card; Remove stops every scenario using that key straight away. To pause or stop a scenario, see Turn off a Zap or Make scenario.
