Upload a new version

Upload a new version of a PDF, image or video. Earlier versions keep their comments, and your review link shows the newest.

When you have made changes, upload the new file as a new version rather than a new file. The new version opens first, and earlier versions and their comments stay one click away, so you and your client can compare.

A new version of a PDF or image#

  1. Open the project’s Files tab.
  2. On the file’s card, press the upload icon (Upload a new version). Or open the file and press Upload new version beside the version numbers.
  3. Choose the new file.

The new version must be the same kind of file as the old one: an image for an image, a PDF for a PDF. If you pick several files, only the first is used. The new version keeps the original file’s name.

A new version of a video#

Open the video and press New version beside the version numbers, or press the new-version icon on the video’s card in the Videos tab. Add the new cut the same way as any video (a link, an upload or a drive) and press Add as new version.

What happens to comments#

Comments stay with the version they were left on. The new version starts with none, so it is clear what has been said about the latest work.

Above the file, each version shows as v1, v2 and so on, with Latest on the newest and a count of open comments on any version that still has some. Click one to see it. On an older version, a note says which version you are looking at, with a link to the latest.

You do not need to send a new link. The file’s review link always opens the newest version.

Who can upload versions#

Only your team can upload a new version. Clients see the version numbers once there is more than one.

Deleting a file deletes every version of it, with their comments. See PDF and image feedback.
