Feedback deadlines and reminders
Set the date you need feedback by. Drobber nudges your client before it and, if you like, chases politely afterwards.
Give a project a date you need your client’s feedback by, and Drobber can remind them for you, kindly. It nudges them before the date, can chase after it, and tells your team the day after how much came in.
Set a deadline#
- Open the project and go to Settings.
- Under Feedback deadline, choose the Date.
- Under Gentle nudges before it, tick when your client should get a nudge: A week before, 3 days before, The day before, On the day. The last three are ticked to start with.
- Under After the deadline, choose whether to Chase (Don’t chase, Every 2 days, Every 3 days or Every week), how many chasers at most under Stop after (1, 2, 3 or 5), and the tone: Gentle, Friendly or Firm.
- Press Save.
Even Firm is polite: it says the feedback is needed to keep things on schedule and offers to help.
Where the date shows#
A badge shows on the project header, in Settings and in the comment tools on the site or file while people review: Feedback due Fri 24 Oct, Feedback due tomorrow, Feedback due today, or Feedback was due once it has passed.
Who gets the reminders#
Reminders go to the client accounts on the project that have accepted their invite (under Client accounts in the same Settings). Guests without an account get none. If there is nobody to remind, Settings says No clients to remind yet. See Invite your clients.
Reminders go out from 9am UK time. When a client replies to one, the reply goes to your workspace owner, not to Drobber.
When chasing stops#
Chasers stop once your client leaves feedback on or after the deadline day: any comment or reply from a client account on the project counts. Comments left before the deadline day do not stop them. They also stop once the number of chasers you chose has been sent. The nudges before the deadline are sent either way.
The day after#
The day after the deadline, everyone on your team gets an email saying how many comments your client left (counting from a week before the deadline) and how many comments are still open.
Change or remove the deadline#
Choose a new date and save, and the nudges and chasers start again for the new date. Saving the same date keeps track of what has already been sent. To stop everything, press Remove the deadline.
To change what the emails say, press Edit the wording, or see Change the wording of client reminders. Reminder not arriving? See My client didn’t get a deadline reminder.
