Questions from clients and reviewers

Nothing to install, how to leave a comment, who sees it, and how to tell when a change is ready for you to check.

Do I need to install anything?#

No. Open the review link your agency sent you in any up-to-date browser and the comment tools appear on the site.

Do I need an account?#

That is up to your agency. If the project asks you to sign in, create an account with your email and a password, confirm your email, and the agency lets you in. If it asks for your name instead, just type it and start commenting.

How do I leave a comment?#

Press Add comment (or C), then click the spot you mean, drag across some words, or drag a box around an area. Type your comment and send it. See Leave a comment.

Who can see my comments?#

Everyone on the project: the agency’s team and anyone else they have invited to it. People visiting the live site cannot.

Can I change or delete a comment?#

If you are signed in, yes: use the pencil to edit your own comment and the bin to delete it. If you commented by name without an account, you cannot change it afterwards, so add a reply instead.

How do I know when something has been changed?#

When your agency has made a change, the comment moves to Feedback, which means it is waiting for you to check. If you have an account, you get an email about new activity at most once an hour. Look at the change, then mark the comment Resolved, or reply to say what still needs doing. See Comment statuses.

How do I say I am happy with everything?#

Press Approve beside the comments on the site or file, and add a note if you like. Your agency is told straight away. See Client approval and sign-off.

How do I stop seeing the comment tools?#

Open the settings menu on the toolbar (the sliders) and choose Leave review mode. The site goes back to normal in that browser.
