Connect Microsoft Teams
Post new comments, replies and status changes to a Teams channel, with the screenshot, using a Teams workflow. Works on every plan.
Microsoft Teams posts each project’s new comments, replies and status changes to a channel as a card, with the screenshot and buttons back to the comment. It works on every plan, including AppSumo Tier 1. It is one-way: nothing you do in Teams changes Drobber.
Get a workflow URL from Teams#
Teams connects through a workflow in the channel, not in one click.
- In the Teams channel, open ••• > Workflows and choose Post to a channel when a webhook request is received.
- Name it Drobber and finish the steps.
- Copy the URL it gives you.
Connect it#
- Open the menu under your name and choose Integrations.
- On the Microsoft Teams card, open Connect Microsoft Teams, paste the URL into Workflow URL and press Connect Microsoft Teams.
- Drobber checks the URL and posts a "Drobber is connected" card in the channel.
Only the workspace owner can connect it for every project. If the URL isn’t a Teams workflow URL, Drobber says so and reminds you where to find it.
Turn it on for projects#
On the Integrations page, open Projects under Microsoft Teams and press Turn on next to each project, or Turn on for every project (which covers the projects you have now). In a project, it is under Settings > Connected tools: Send this project’s comments to Microsoft Teams. Any team member can do this.
The workspace connection posts to one channel. For a different channel on one project, open Microsoft Teams in that project’s Connected tools, choose Use a different Microsoft Teams account for this project, and paste the URL of a workflow made in the other channel.
What the cards show#
- New comment: "New comment #12 on Project (page)", the text (up to 400 characters), who left it, the screenshot if there is one, and the buttons Open in Drobber and View on the page.
- Reply: "Reply on #12 (Project)", the reply and who wrote it.
- Status change: "#12 on Project is now Resolved".
Assigning a comment posts nothing, and developer details are never included.
Turn it off#
Press Turn off next to a project on the Integrations page or in its Connected tools. To stop every project, the workspace owner presses Disconnect on the Microsoft Teams card, then Disconnect Microsoft Teams.
