Check tablet and mobile sizes

See your site at tablet (768px) or mobile (390px) width while you review, and tell which comments were left at which size.

You can review the page at tablet or mobile width without leaving your desktop. Use the size buttons at the foot of the comment panel, or press 1, 2 or 3.

Switch size#

ButtonKeyWidth
Live page1Your browser window
Tablet (768px)2768 pixels
Mobile (390px)3390 pixels

The page narrows to that width and lays itself out as it would on that device. You can comment as usual. Press Live page (or 1) to go back.

The size buttons are not shown on phones, which already show the mobile layout, or on reviews of PDFs and images.

Which size a comment was left at#

Each comment records the width of the window it was left in, and Drobber sorts that into a size:

  • Mobile: under 768 pixels wide.
  • Tablet: 768 to 1199 pixels wide.
  • Desktop: 1200 pixels and wider.

So the size comes from the window, not from which button was pressed. A comment left in a 1100-pixel-wide desktop window counts as tablet.

Comments left at a different size from the one you are looking at show faded, and hovering over the pin adds the size it was left on, for example "left on mobile". See What each comment records.

If the page could not be shown#

If the panel says "This page could not be shown at 768px" (or 390px), the site does not allow itself to be shown inside a frame. Resize your browser window to review that size instead. See The page could not be shown at tablet or mobile size.
