Revision rounds
Set how many rounds of changes a project includes. Your client always sees which round they are on and how many are left.
If your quote includes a set number of rounds of changes, tell Drobber. Your client then always sees which round they are on, and you decide when each round is done.
Set the number of rounds#
- Open the project and go to Settings.
- Under Revision rounds, choose how many under Rounds included (1 to 10).
- Press Save.
To stop counting, choose Not counting rounds and save.
What your client sees#
A badge reading, for example, Round 2 of 3 shows in the project header, in the comment tools on the site or file, and on your client’s dashboard. It says how many rounds are left after this one, or This is the final round. Once every round is used, it reads All 3 rounds used, with a note that further changes may be chargeable.
Complete a round#
- Open Settings and find Revision rounds.
- Optionally, add a note for the client saying what changed in this round.
- Press Complete round 1 (the number is the current round).
Clients on the project get an email telling them what is left, and their badge moves on. Completed rounds are listed with who completed them, when, and the note. Made a mistake? Press Undo the last completed round.
Each comment remembers the round it was left in. You can see it in the comment in the dashboard (Round 2), and in the CSV export when testing tools are on.
Compare the site between rounds#
On website projects with a site address, Drobber takes a picture of the site’s main pages when you start counting rounds (Before round 1), and again each time you complete a round. It captures up to 8 pages: the pages captured before, the home page, then the pages with the most comments, at desktop width.
Open the Rounds tab, choose two rounds and a page, and compare them with a Slider (wipe between them) or Side by side. Clients on the project can see the Rounds tab too, and the round email takes them straight there. Pages behind a password cannot be captured. Undoing a round removes its pictures.
Rounds and approval#
On a project that counts rounds, your client approves each round. See Client approval and sign-off.
