Connect Claude

Connect Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex or Cursor to Drobber with your own key, so it can read comments and report back on them.

Connect Claude and it can work through feedback for you: read a comment and its screenshots, make the change, then reply with a summary and move the comment to Feedback for your client to check. Codex and Cursor connect the same way, with the same key.

Each person on your team who works on the website connects their own Claude, from their own account. The workspace owner and team members can all do it. Clients never need to: they leave comments and approve changes as usual.

Claude comes with every paid plan and the free trial, but not AppSumo Tier 1. On Tier 1 the Claude card on Integrations asks for another code instead; see AppSumo codes.

Connect Claude#

  1. Open the menu under your name and choose Integrations.
  2. Under Claude, type a name you will recognise later in Name this connection, such as “Drobber feedback”, and press Connect Claude.
  3. Copy your key straight away with Copy key. It starts with drk_ and is shown only once, and anyone who has it can act as you in Drobber.
  4. Under Or set it up in your app, choose the tab for the app you use: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex or Cursor. Your key is already filled in. Press Copy and do what the line above it says (see the table below).
AppWhat to do with what you copied
Claude CodePaste the command into Terminal (on a Mac) or PowerShell (on Windows) and press Enter. Run it once, from any folder: Drobber then works wherever you start Claude.
Claude DesktopGo to Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector, and paste the address.
CodexPaste the command into your terminal and press Enter. It only needs doing once.
CursorGo to Settings > MCP > Add new MCP server, or add the setting to ~/.cursor/mcp.json.

The Claude Code command looks like this, with your own key in place of drk_…:

claude mcp add --scope user --transport http drobber https://app.drobber.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer drk_…"

Check it works#

  1. In Terminal, run claude mcp list. Drobber should show as connected.
  2. Start Claude and ask: List my Drobber projects.
  3. Back on Integrations, the connection’s line changes from “not used yet” to “last used” once Claude has reached Drobber.

The Connected label next to Claude appears as soon as you create a key, so on its own it doesn’t prove Claude has reached Drobber. The “last used” time does. If Claude still can’t see Drobber, see Claude can’t see Drobber.

More than one connection#

Press Connect Claude again whenever you need another key, for example one for each computer or app. Each one is listed under Claude with its name, when it was created and when it was last used, so you can disconnect one without touching the others. See Disconnect Claude.

Connected before 14 October 2026?#

Older Claude Code commands added Drobber only for the folder you ran them in. If Drobber only shows up when you start Claude in that folder, disconnect the old connection under Integrations and press Connect Claude again: the new command works in every folder.

This key is for Claude, Codex and Cursor. The WordPress plugin takes a different key, the project key that starts with dr_: see Fix with Claude on WordPress. Zapier and Make have keys of their own: see Connect Zapier.

Next: Start Claude in your website’s folder, then Fix a comment with Claude.
