Fix a comment with Claude
Press Fix with Claude and Claude opens with the instruction typed in. It makes the change, replies with a summary and moves the comment to Feedback.
Fix with Claude hands a comment to Claude with everything it needs. Claude reads the comment and its screenshots, makes the change, then replies with a short summary and moves the comment to Feedback for your client to check.
It is for your team (not clients), on website projects, for comments left on the site itself rather than on uploaded files. Connect Claude first.
Where to find it#
| Where | One comment | Everything In Progress |
|---|---|---|
| On your site | The Claude button on the comment | Fix all, at the top of the comment list |
| In Drobber | Fix with AI, in the open comment | Fix N with AI, at the top of the project (N is how many) |
In Drobber, pressing Fix with AI sends the comment to Claude. The arrow beside it opens a menu with Fix with Claude, Copy for another AI (see Copy feedback for any AI tool) and Change Claude’s setup.
The first time: a short setup#
The first time you press it on a project, Drobber asks a few questions:
- How do you want to work? Claude Code (opens in Terminal), Claude app (opens a Code session in the Claude desktop app), or Copy prompt (for Codex, Cursor or another AI you have connected to Drobber; you paste it in).
- Where is your website? On this computer, WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Lovable, Bolt or v0, or GitHub. Webflow, Shopify and GitHub are marked Beta.
- Connect Claude to Drobber. This step shows until Claude has used your key once: start Claude, send it any message such as hi, and the setup ticks when Claude says hello.
- Then it connects Claude to where the site is: a folder on your computer (Start Claude in your website’s folder), the WordPress plugin (Fix with Claude on WordPress), Webflow’s own Claude connector, or GitHub (Fix with Claude on GitHub).
For sites made in Lovable, Bolt or v0, use Copy for another AI and paste the prompt into its chat, or sync the site to GitHub and choose GitHub.
Drobber remembers your answers for you and that project, so next time it is one click. To change them, choose Change Claude’s setup from the arrow beside Fix with AI in Drobber, or Shift-click the Claude button (or Fix all) on your site.
What happens when you press it#
- Claude opens with the instruction typed in: Claude Code in Terminal, in your site’s folder, or a new Code session in the Claude app, where you confirm the folder. With Copy prompt, the instruction is copied for you to paste into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor in your site’s folder.
- Press Enter. Nothing runs until you do.
- Claude reads the comment and its screenshots and makes the change. Claude Code asks for permission to edit files according to its own settings.
- Claude replies on the comment with “Fixed:” and a short summary, with before and after screenshots if it could take them, asks your client to check it and resolve it, and moves the comment to Feedback.
If you pressed the Claude button on your site, that tab reloads and opens the comment again when Claude has fixed it. Anyone else on the page sees a short note, such as “Claude fixed #12.”
Fix several at once#
Fix all on your site and Fix N with AI in Drobber send every comment In Progress on the website, oldest first. Comments in Feedback, resolved comments and comments on uploaded files are left out.
Drobber checks first: Send all N comments in progress to Claude? Press Send to Claude. Tick Don’t ask me again to skip the question next time in this browser.
Claude works through them one at a time, skips any comment that is unclear or looks like a test, and finishes with a list of what it changed or why it skipped each one.
Before anything goes live#
Drobber’s instruction tells Claude to keep everything else as it is and not to publish, deploy or push anything, so you can check the change first. That is an instruction to Claude, not a lock, so keep an eye on what it does. To have your client approve a change before it is live, work on a test copy (a staging site or a new branch) with Drobber on it.
On WordPress it is different: the change is live on the site straight away. See Fix with Claude on WordPress.
Nothing opened?#
Claude Code’s links only start working once Claude Code has been used on that computer. Run claude in Terminal, send it any message, then press the button again. If Claude still can’t see Drobber, see Claude can’t see Drobber.
