How Drobber works
Projects, the review link, comments pinned to the page and their statuses: the whole of Drobber in one page.
Drobber collects feedback from your clients pinned to the exact spot it is about, on a live website, a PDF, an image or a video. Every comment lands in one place with its replies and a status, so nothing gets lost in email threads.
Projects#
Everything starts with a project: one project per thing your client is reviewing. A project is a Website, PDF, Image or Video project, and you choose which when you create it. See Create a project.
Each project has these tabs: Board, Comments, Files (Videos for a video project), Rounds when the project counts revision rounds, and Settings, which only your team sees.
The review link#
For a website, you add one line of script to the site, or install the WordPress plugin, and send your client the project’s review link. Opening the link switches Drobber on in their browser. Everyone else sees the plain site.
For PDFs, images and videos there is nothing to install. Each file has its own link, which you copy from the project’s Files tab.
Comments#
Reviewers press Add comment, then click anywhere to drop a pin, drag across words to highlight them, or drag to draw a box around an area. Each comment remembers the page, the spot, and the browser and window size it was left on. See Leave a comment.
Statuses#
Every comment has one of three statuses. On the Board tab, drag a card to another column to change it.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| In Progress | Someone is working on it. |
| Feedback | Waiting on the other party to reply or confirm. |
| Resolved | Done. |
See Comment statuses.
Who is who#
- Owners see every project and also manage the team, the plan, storage drives and workspace-wide integrations.
- Team members see every project, create projects and use each project’s Settings.
- Clients see only the projects you give them, and have no Settings tab.
- Guests have no account. When a project lets anyone comment, they comment under a name they type in. See Guest comments.
There are no per-seat fees, so add everyone who works on your projects. See Team members and roles.
Your first project, step by step#
A new workspace sees a Getting started card on the Projects page with the same four steps. Each one ticks itself off as you go, and Hide puts the card away.
