Storage and cloud drives
Each workspace has 150 MB of storage on Drobber. Connect Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive to keep review files there instead.
Every workspace on a paid plan or the free trial has 150 MB of storage on Drobber, shared by all its projects. AppSumo tiers come with a different amount; see AppSumo codes. Images are optimised when they arrive, so the space goes further.
What counts towards it#
- PDFs and images uploaded for review and kept on Drobber, every version of them.
- Images attached to comments and replies, including screenshots.
- The before-and-after pictures Drobber keeps for regression watch.
Videos never use your storage: uploaded videos are kept in your own cloud drive, and YouTube, Vimeo and linked videos play from where they are hosted. Uploaded and drive videos count towards a separate monthly video streaming allowance instead; see Video feedback and timestamps.
See how much you have used#
Open the menu under your name and choose Storage. The meter at the top shows how much of your allowance is used. The Billing page shows the same meter.
When it is full#
Nothing is deleted. Files already stored stay where they are, but new uploads are turned away with a message saying the workspace is out of storage. Delete some old files to make room, connect a cloud drive, or add more storage.
Use your own cloud drive#
Connect Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive and new PDFs, images and videos you upload for review are saved there instead, so they do not use your Drobber storage. Drobber can only see the files it puts there itself, nothing else in your drive.
- Open the menu under your name and choose Storage.
- Under Use your own cloud drive, choose Connect Google Drive, Connect Dropbox or Connect OneDrive, and allow access.
- To move files you already have, press the Move existing files button (it says how many files and how much space, for example Move 12 existing files (40 MB) to Google Drive). You can bring them back later with Copy them back to Drobber.
| Drive | Where files go |
|---|---|
| Google Drive | A Drobber folder in My Drive |
| Dropbox | Apps / Drobber in your Dropbox |
| OneDrive | Apps / Drobber in your OneDrive |
Only the workspace owner can connect, disconnect or move files. Other team members can see the Storage page.
What still uses Drobber storage#
With a drive connected, comment attachments (screenshots and images) and regression watch pictures are still kept on Drobber and still count. The upload size limits (25 MB for an image, 60 MB for a PDF, 1 GB for a video) are the same either way.
If your drive stops answering Drobber, the Storage page says so and new uploads stay on Drobber, counting towards your storage, until you reconnect it.
Disconnect a drive#
Press Disconnect on the Storage page. Files already in the drive stay there, but they will not open in Drobber until you reconnect the same account. New uploads go back to Drobber storage.
Need more room on Drobber?#
The workspace owner can add extra storage once the workspace is on a plan. See Add more storage.
