Install the WordPress plugin
Add Drobber to every page of a WordPress site without touching code: install the plugin, paste the project key that starts dr_, and save.
The Drobber plugin adds the comment tools to every page of a WordPress site, so you don’t need to paste the snippet. It can also connect Claude, so Claude can change your pages’ text when you fix a comment.
What you need#
- WordPress 6.3 or later, and PHP 7.4 or later.
- A Website project in Drobber, and its project key (it starts
dr_). - WordPress 6.9 or later only if you also want to connect Claude.
Install the plugin#
- Download the plugin. In Drobber it is offered in the Fix with Claude setup when you choose WordPress (Download drobber.zip), or download it here.
- In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin and choose the file.
- Install it, then activate it.
Connect your project#
- In Drobber, open the project and go to its Settings tab.
- In the Install snippet panel, under On WordPress?, press Copy project key.
- In WordPress, go to Settings > Drobber. There is also a Settings link under the plugin on the Plugins page.
- Under Connect this project, paste the key into Project key and press Save.
The page then says it is connected to your project, and the comment tools are on every page of the site. As with the snippet, ordinary visitors see nothing: open the review link to check it works. The project shows Installed once someone has opened the site through the review link, not when the plugin connects.
If WordPress says "Drobber didn’t recognise that key", copy the key again from the project’s Settings tab and save it once more.
Which key goes where#
The plugin takes the project key, never your account key. If you paste an account key, the plugin refuses it and keeps the key it had.

Connect Claude#
The plugin’s second card, Connect Claude, lets Claude Code find and change text on your pages when you use Fix with Claude in Drobber. It needs WordPress 6.9 or later. Changes made this way go live straight away, and the plugin keeps the last 5 changes to each page so they can be undone. See Fix with Claude on WordPress.
Change or remove the key#
To move the site to another project, paste that project’s key under Settings > Drobber and press Save. To take the comment tools off the site, clear the Project key field and press Save, or deactivate the plugin.
Speed and caching plugins#
The plugin marks its script so Cloudflare Rocket Loader, WP Rocket, LiteSpeed and Autoptimize leave it alone. If the comment tools still don’t appear, exclude app.drobber.com in your speed plugin’s JavaScript settings and clear its cache. See The comment tools don’t appear on my site.
