Fix with Claude on GitHub
If the site’s code is on GitHub, Claude fixes each comment there and opens a pull request for you to review. Nothing runs on your computer.
If your site’s code is on GitHub, Claude can fix comments there, with nothing running on your computer. Drobber asks Claude on the comment’s GitHub issue, Claude opens a pull request, and the comment moves to Feedback. This suits sites made in Lovable, Bolt or v0 too, once they sync to GitHub.
You don’t need to connect Claude under Integrations for this: Claude’s GitHub app does the work.
What you need#
- The project connected to its GitHub repository, in the project’s Settings under Connected tools. See GitHub.
- Write access to the repository for the GitHub account connected to the project. Drobber writes to Claude as that account, and Claude’s GitHub app only answers people who have write access.
- Claude’s GitHub app and its workflow in the repository, set up below.
Set it up#
- Press Fix with Claude on a comment and choose GitHub as where your website is. Until GitHub is connected to the project, GitHub is marked Connect first.
- In Terminal, in a copy of the repository, run
claude "/install-github-app". It adds the Claude GitHub app and its workflow. - So Claude can open pull requests, add the line below under
with:in.github/workflows/claude.yml, and make sure the workflow haspull-requests: write. - Merge the pull request it opens, so the workflow is on your main branch.
- Tick I’ve done this and finish the setup.
claude_args: --allowedTools "Bash(gh pr create:*)"What happens when you send a comment#
- Drobber writes on the comment’s GitHub issue (making one if the comment doesn’t have one yet), starting with “@claude” and including everything Claude needs. It asks Claude to open a pull request that says it fixes the issue, and not to merge it.
- When the pull request opens (drafts don’t count), Drobber replies on the comment as GitHub with a link to it, asks your client to check the change once it is live, and moves the comment to Feedback.
- Merging the pull request closes the issue, and closing the issue resolves the comment.
- Fix all and Fix N with AI send up to 25 comments at a time. Drobber tells you how many are left for next time.
If it doesn’t send#
Connect GitHub in the project’s Settings first means the project’s GitHub connection is missing. GitHub didn’t take it means GitHub turned the request down: try again in a moment.
