Client feedback pinned to the exact spot on your pages, with replies and statuses in one place. Claude can make the text changes for you.

== Description ==

Drobber is website feedback for agencies, freelancers and their clients. Send your client a review link and they comment right on the live site: they click anywhere to drop a pin, highlight words to suggest new wording, draw a box around an area, or attach a screenshot. Every comment lands in one place with its page, its spot, the browser and screen size it was left on, and the whole conversation.

This plugin connects your WordPress site to your Drobber project in a minute, with no code to paste:

* **Adds the Drobber widget to your pages.** Paste your project key under Settings > Drobber. Ordinary visitors see nothing at all: the comment tools only switch on for people who open the site through your Drobber review link.
* **Lets Claude change your pages' text.** Press Fix with Claude on a comment in Drobber, and Claude Code edits the words on the page through WordPress, asking you before every change. It works with the block editor, Elementor, Divi, Oxygen, Bricks, Beaver Builder and others, and the last change can be undone.

What your clients get:

* Comments pinned to the exact element, so nothing is lost in translation.
* Suggested text edits shown in place before you accept them.
* Tablet and phone sizes to check, with comments marked by the size they were left at.
* Replies, @mentions, emoji reactions and statuses (In progress, Feedback, Resolved).
* Optional feedback deadlines, with gentle reminders by email.

What your team gets:

* A board and list of every comment across your projects, with assignees.
* Revision rounds, so everyone knows how many rounds of changes are left.
* Developer details on each comment (on plans that include them): console errors, the element's HTML and styles, and the environment.
* Email updates and a notification bell, so nothing slips through.

Drobber is a hosted service: you need a Drobber account to use this plugin. Every account starts with a free 14-day trial, no credit card needed. See [drobber.com](https://drobber.com).

== External services ==

This plugin connects to Drobber, the hosted feedback service it belongs to (https://app.drobber.com, run by Drobber). Without it the plugin does nothing.

* **The Drobber widget.** Once you have saved a project key, every front-end page loads Drobber's widget script (embed.js) from app.drobber.com. The script itself stays switched off for ordinary visitors and only shows the comment tools to people who open the site through your Drobber review link. When it is switched on, Drobber receives what those reviewers do with it: their comments and replies, where on the page they are, the page address, and the browser, screen size and (if you have turned on developer details) the page's console errors.
* **Connecting the project.** When you save your project key on Settings > Drobber, and again the first time Claude signs in to your site with the password the plugin made for it, the plugin sends Drobber your project key, your site's address, the plugin's version and whether Claude is connected, so Drobber can confirm the key and show the site as connected.

No data is sent to Drobber before you add a project key. Drobber's terms of service: https://app.drobber.com/terms. Privacy policy: https://app.drobber.com/privacy.

The optional Claude connection also uses WordPress's own MCP Adapter plugin (installed from WordPress.org when you press the button) and an application password on your own user account. Claude Code then connects directly to your site; that connection does not go through Drobber.

== Installation ==

1. Install and activate the plugin from Plugins > Add New, searching for Drobber.
2. In Drobber, open your website project's setup (or its Settings > Install) and copy the project key. It starts with dr_.
3. In WordPress, go to Settings > Drobber, paste the key and press Save. The page says when it is connected.
4. Optional: under Connect Claude, press the buttons to turn on WordPress's MCP Adapter and make a password for Claude, then paste the command it shows into Terminal. Claude Code can now change your pages' text when you press Fix with Claude in Drobber. This needs WordPress 6.9 or later.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Will my visitors see Drobber? =

No. The widget only switches on for people who open your site through a Drobber review link. Everyone else sees your site exactly as it is.

= Does it slow my site down? =

The widget is one small script, loaded with defer so it never holds up your page. For ordinary visitors it does nothing.

= Do my clients need a WordPress account? =

No. They only need the review link. Depending on your project's settings they comment under their name or with a free Drobber account.

= My caching or speed plugin is delaying the script =

The plugin marks the script so Cloudflare Rocket Loader, WP Rocket, LiteSpeed and Autoptimize leave it alone. If you still don't see the comment tools, exclude app.drobber.com in your speed plugin's JavaScript settings and clear the cache.

= Does Claude change my site without asking? =

No. Claude Code asks you before every change it makes, and the last change can be undone. It can only change words and simple formatting (bold, italic, links) on posts and pages you can edit: scripts and other code are removed by WordPress's own content filter, so nothing it writes can run on your site. To disconnect Claude, revoke the application password named Claude (Drobber) under Users > Profile.

= Does Drobber cost anything? =

Drobber is a paid service with a free 14-day trial and no credit card needed to start. The plugin itself is free.

== Changelog ==

= 1.1.2 =
* Pasting a Drobber account key (drk_ or drsk_) where the project key goes now says which key is needed and where to find it, and leaves the saved key as it was.

= 1.1.1 =
* The widget script is now added the standard WordPress way (wp_enqueue_script), deferred so it never holds up a page.
* The settings page's styles and Copy button load as proper admin assets.
* The Drobber address under Advanced must be HTTPS (a local test copy aside).
* Text changes made through Claude are passed through WordPress's content filter (wp_kses_post), so only words and simple formatting are written.
* Needs WordPress 6.3 or later.

= 1.1.0 =
* Claude can now change text in Bricks and Beaver Builder pages, as well as Oxygen 6 and Divi 5.
* Page builder caches are marked out of date after a change, instead of being rebuilt on the spot.

= 1.0.3 =
* Oxygen 4: text inside signed shortcodes is left alone (or the change is refused, with a reason), so a section is never broken.

= 1.0.2 =
* Oxygen 4 pages are supported.

= 1.0.1 =
* The settings page only shows Claude as connected once Claude has actually signed in.

= 1.0.0 =
* First release.

== Upgrade Notice ==

= 1.1.1 =
